Silver Jugs and Green Glass Compotes on Red

Two clear jugs with lids stand on a table covered with a deep red cloth. More red cloth hangs down on the left like a curtain. In front of the jugs there are two green glass bowls on stems, filled with apples and an orange. Small glass dishes hold brown pods, and a bunch of black grapes lies near a jar with a yellow spoon in it.

The red cloth has many folds, and you can see light and dark red side by side in them. The glass objects are painted so that the red and white behind them show through. Oil on canvas.
